My turn off was issues with the transmission. I did not pick it because the interior lol I think Bryan was just saying that. I was going to pick up a 2007 but couldn't get past the months reading at the 350 site how many things that were going wrong. Go read on them since it will be your DD. The other issue I had was with the dealrship I tried to pay cash and no one wanted to help me so I sat on the cash for a bit then went out and bought a 2007 Honda civic and a 2007 sti. In the end was happy with my choices and in all honesty do what you want and what makes you happy.

The oil problem isn't as common in the HR motor either, most common was 05-06 motors, so I stayed away from those. I test drove the automatic (ghey) and still enjoyed it, so I'm guessing I'd like the stick, but so many people are hating on it and saying it has problems making me think this isn't the best idea. But I really have no idea what else to get....I wish I had low 20's I'd look for a nice 330ci or even a used e9x beamer, but can't afford any nice low miled ones.
I might do the Z and keep it for 2-2.5 years and then get the E92 328i/335i. I'll check out the Z tonight and test drive it and really see if I think it is worth it or not.
Interior isn't bad, it's not luxurious as a benz/beamer, but it's not a civic. Lol

Looked at an 05/06 GTO? Insurance runs half what the typical "tuner" (sti, 350z, g35, mustang, etc) car runs. This is because its classified as a "premium coupe" by the insurance co.s. Still gets 18 city and 22-24 highway if you drive reasonably. Most common problems are strut rub on the model equipped with 17" wheels, and seam split on the rear seat in untinted cars. Other than that only options are 6speed manual or 4 speed auto. Oh and maintenance is dirt simple, no timing belts.

I would also add seeing as you are looking at a used one get it pre inspected by a shop before buying. You can save many headaches and money if it turns out bad. And if they won't let you get it inspected that should answer it for you right there.
As for interior and comfort I can't complain I ditched all my cars for my Tribeca lol so comfortable even my spine condition long drives are so easy now.

Ok, I sold my 05 WRX last saturday, I was sad, I put a lot of time and money into that car, but I wanted to start a new project.
Now, I really wanted a 350z, but I'm getting a lot of flaming going on from a few people. I really like the style, interior, sound, performance, etc. and I found a couple in my price range, but I'm getting second thoughts on whether or not I should get it.
There has been an issue with some Z's have oil consumption problems, specifically the 06 6MT Z with the new Rev Up motor. I made sure not to get a 06, so I found a couple of nice 07's.
I found a local 07 Blk/Blk 6MT Clean 31k Miles Asking $16998. It is a base model, so I might get LSD later on, but I don't know if I'll even *need* it.
I found a couple of other 07's, there are 2 silver 07's in LA with 30k miles, one is 15k and the other is 14k. And lastly, a White 07 in stockton that just sold at 15.5 with 34k miles. So this pricing on the black local one isn't too high, he could probably lower it a bit as well.
Now, I want to know, is it worth it? I like the car, but people say with the oil problem, it can be a hassle. I rarely drive the car (5-6-7k miles a year) and It only has 2 more months until the warranty runs out if it's 3 year/36,000 miles, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I just want to make sure I don't get a crappy beat up car that has problems, what do you guys think?
I'm not really interested in any other cars, I don't want older cars, I don't want american muscle v8 cause insurance/gas, I don't want more sedans. I just want something sporty, sounds nice, and is decently priced. My limit is like $16-18k.
I'm 6'4 btw, so I don't want any small cars like the RX8 or S2000. Give me your opinions on the 07 Blk/Blk Z and what I should do. Please don't flame me lol.

Unless the "flammers" are paying for it, who cares? Just buy what you like, since you will be the one driving it.
As others have mentioned, it sounds like you have picked the 350Z and should probably just go with it. If you are so concerned that other people will not like your car that you are now second guessing your decision, it sounds like you are not ready to buy.
A good friend of mine has an '04 G35 and he is 6'5" and says he has no complaints. He went to that car from an '00 Civic. Another friend who is around 5'9" complains about the lack of space in his '04 350Z Track. These two examples should clearly demonstrate that you need to go look at a car, by yourself, and decide what you want.
Myself, I was set pretty much 100% on a new '10 GTI. On the way to test drive one, I bought a 2010 Camaro SS (which, by the way, is cheaper to insure for me than my '02 MR2 Spyder was). I have already been told many of the obvious things about my new car (it's GM, it's large, it's heavy, yes it's hard to see out the back and it's a pain to park and yeah if you bang on the dash for whatever reason there's a hollow noise). Thing is, it does not even come close to affecting me. I just say "yep, that's probably true" and keep smiling. Why? Because for one, I am making the payments so really it's up to me. Other than that, this car really nails it for me - specifically - I do not want to have another car. I know there are "better" cars out there, however I do not think there is a better one for me.
When I had my '04 R32, a friend of mine who has a LGT would constantly feel the need to remind me that he felt my Haldex AWD system was inferior to his Subaru AWD system, even at the most un-related times ("Oh man, check her out..." "Psssssshhhhh Haldex sucks"). Basically, all this did was make me think less of him - not my car. I dunno. Hope this helps somehow. Ha!

Yeah, I wasn't really a fan of the exterior/interior and the fact it's a V8. My brother got a Camaro Z28 and they never want me to get a V8 American Muscle car. I would of gotten a C5 Vette, but it's a long story with my brother, basterd. Lol

Do you even own a subaru? GTFO this whole forum you loser, you have nothing better to do than skim through threads and make fun of people?
Insecure little *****, right because getting annoyed at an idiot that acts like a 12 year old posting pictures trying to act funny means I'm the insecure little *****, good one tough guy.
And now this post here which of course needs no introduction. Wow.
