There's a blue one down the street from me with a red Cobra emblem across the hood.

Depending on how much of a "project" you want, I would be temped to go for an e36 m3 and put the rest in to parts. The Z just doesn't feel nimble enough to me.

My buddy is 6'7 and daily drives an s2000. Have you sat in one to see if it would work cause they really are great cars.

Exactly my point, it's either you love it or HATE it. I never seen any riced out Z's around, I don't know if it's just where I live or me not driving much, but I've never ran into a riced out Z driving like a douche. I don't drive douchey, I'm young, but I bet I'm more mature driving wise than half this forum. I never get any cop troubles even with my WRX.

Second, the Z is my DD, but like I said, it's not driven a lot, like 5-7k miles a year cause I do short errands or go to school by light rail to save many miles.

I thought the Z I test drove was faster than my WRX Stage 2. I liked it. It did feel heavy, but I'm not tracking the car, it's a DD. The sound is awesome, you can't say that is rice, that is just bull.

I guess there tends to be a lot of douchey owners in Z/G35's, but I'm not like that, I don't speed/cut people off/rev or do any of that immature crap. I might get Nismo CBE, some Coils, and maybe wheels and lip/spoiler, but no bodykits and naws and ****.

I know many people can say that my wrx wasn't rice, it was a clean car lol.

John, people will always talk and hate but at the end of the day, it's your car and you bought it/ mod it the way you want to.

Seems like your set on the z so I say go for it.

Actually the earlier Enthusiast, Performance and Track models were not that (if at all) heavier than STis. The newer models seemed to have paid a trip or ten to Vegas style buffets. Below is a comparison weight chart from one of the Z forums. I still think that it is a very solid and capable platform when done correctly, but unfortunately I have to agree with you on the asshat statement

Lol, no man. I'd never drive a goat. If I get American Muscle, I'm getting a C5 or 03-04 Cobra, but that is just asking for trouble. I can't afford them, way too loud with the exhaust in mind and insurance/gas. The Goat...looks like a fattttttttttttttt boat lol. If you own one, I'm joking lol.

By project, I just mean a new car that I can mod and drive, not like spend $20k in it and get a TT kit lol. I like the M3, but there are no M3's for 16-18k with under 60-70k miles. Plus, I'm not a fan of the sound, sounds...too ricey. I'm sorry, but that high pitch hollow sound isn't my cup of tea. The E92 M3 on the other hand is PURE SECKS. That hopefully will be my next car or the following one after. I love the e92 beamers, but too much money.

6'7 in an S2000? Mother EFF. I haven't sat in one, but my 6'1 friend said it was too tight on him, so I thought it would be worse for me. Plus, I'm not 100% if I want another 4 cyl, I want some torque and that is something a S2000 does not have. Handles great though

I really don't understand where you people run into these "asshats", I've never seen a 350z modded and driven by a douche. I've seen more wrx asshat owners and srt4 owners and even mustang v8 asshats than a freakin' modded Z, asshat driver or not. I never see them on the road, if I do, they are bone stock. No mods at all. It's annoying me how many people hate on the drivers when I rarely ever see that happening around me. Makes it feel great for me to get a new Z huh?

Z is nice, how bout EVO IX, few bolt on mods and its 500AWHP lol, maybe exaggerating, but when I browse the evo forums all I read about is the massive power they make easy and cheap

Z is a nice chill good looking car though

Thank you, that is what I'm trying to say. I have no idea where all these asshat douchebag young drivers in their modded Z's drive, because it's no where near me.

I'm not a ricer either, so I don't take offense, but there are a lot of people hating, these drivers can't be worse than SRT-4 drivers, no WAY, that I won't believe lol.

I don't really want the car cause it can be quick or to race/track, I just want a nicer car than the WRX. WRX is very fun and cool, but neighbors didn't like it lol. I want something somewhat quieter and still sporty, and I don't mind luggage or stuff in the back, I don't really use it for that, just to do errands and school and drives/etc. I still don't know what to do. Ahhh...lol

I have an '03, fun car that gets me about 22mpg avg city/highway, but be prepared to miss the wrx. Maybe that's just me since mine was fairly modded but the driving involvement and AWD are huge factors. I like the N/A engine and the exhaust note still hasn't gotten old to me, just like when I hear a nice suby.

Not much has to be done to make the car look great and if you plan to be in the car for long periods of time I would take it over the S2k.

I do commute up to SF so I must be that metrosexual asshat you guys were mentioning? LOL Trust me, seen plenty of D-bag closet gay suby owners too, all the brands have 'em.

Next car is an STi, M3/5, or Z06. Although I still miss that AWD on a wet twisty road.
