i need help - a stud came out of my turbo.

i was putting my stock downpipe back on, got everything all tightened up and back together and drove it into town and back home. I let it sit for a little bit and went to go check it out and make sure everything was still together and O.K. Of course it wasnt, at first it just looked like a loose nut but i started to loosen it and the whole stud started turning and eventually came out.
i just called subaru and made an appointment to bring it in. They said it should be covered on warranty but the problem is is that I still have the aftermarket uppipe on and im afraid it's going to affect my warranty, and im going to be going this weekend leaving me with only hours to take it off before i drop off my car.
Is anyone on here able to do an extremely fast uppipe swap late sunday afternoon? I can do it , but it will most likely take me hours on end.
If you're interested send me a P.M. and ill get back to you ASAP.... There's some dinner or a few bucks in it for you and i could come to you.

thanks

either way, they'll know you swapped the uppipe out no matter what. all the bolts are torqued to their specific setup. when i took my car to the dealership, I had put it back to stock, but they knew exactly what I did to it.

You'll need to use a 'Heli-coil' or 'Time-sert' kit to repair the stripped-out hole.

If the dealer knows you tinkered with the car, you're gonna have to pay up.

im guessing the only way that stud broke is because you decided to put a uppipe or downpipe on your car... just pay up yourself, its your fault.

they wont care. tell them what happened, you're not asking for a new turbo, just to replace/fix the bolt that came out.

You really don't need to take it to the dealer though, if you managed to install the downpipe, it is something you can fix with a little bit of work.

yeah i no i can fix but my heli-coil kit is not where it should be. Believe me, first thing after i noticed i stripped out the stud i went straight for my heli-coil kit.
So you think i should be ok to bring it to Santa Cruz subaru with my uppipe still on?
