Need a hand replacing turbo gaskets and stud
Hello Sacramento I-Clubbers. I have a 02 wrx that I have to smog this month because my registration is due. I have a really bad exhaust leak coming from the up-pipe to turbo gasket. When inspected a while back I also noticed a stud broken from there. I don't have any tools for the job. I was considering removing the turbo and up-pipe and inspecting for any cracks and such. I am asking for anyone in the Sacramento, Roseville, Natomas or Elk Grove for help who has tools and some help as I have never pulled the turbo from my car. From looking at it, it doesn't seem that difficult. I can buy lunch, beer or if you prefer some cash we can work something out. I am looking to get this done on the 18th or 19th of this month (this coming Saturday or Sunday). Let me know who can offer a hand. Thanks
Robert

There is no one willing to help a fellow Subie owner out? I would be able to do the job if I had some tools, but my brother decided to sell all my tools. Drugs do crazy **** to people. Anyways, I really need some help and am willing to offer any help I can to people who need help in the future. I have a place that we can do it as well. As I said before, Lunch Beer and Cash.

I've done this before but I'm from the south bay. And it's a bit time consuming. If you have a catted up-pipe now is the time to replace it for a catless, and also get a new gasket and anti-seize for the bolts

I have all new gaskets. I want to go catless, but I have to smog the car this month. I also don't have an access port to clear any codes. If it is that time consuming I think next paycheck I will buy a craftsman set of tools.

You shouldn't have any codes...Replace it with an STI one or a later wrx as they're catless aswell. The last thing you want to have is a chunk of your cat flying into your turbo, cause that'll cost you more down the line
