I got a ticket for an illegal U-Turn in Redwood City back in October. I was driving a rental car and was trying to return it to Enterprise so I could pick up my car from Carlsen (ECU reflash). I made a U-Turn where I thought it was legal to do so. Apparently I completely missed the no U-Turn sign and a highway patrol motorcycle pulled me over and ticketed me. No warning, just a ticket. This peeved me pretty hard because I am very very good about making sure that I obey the law with little stuff like that. I go out of my way to not make illegal U-Turns. I just didn't see the sign this time.

I ended up fighting the ticket by mail (Thanks ticketassassin!) and yesterday I received a letter and a check refunding my money and telling me the case has been dropped. Woot

He made an illegal u turn... why is it a "punk cop"? On the other hand, since he didn't really hurt anything, I'm glad the case was dropped.

 

Hey man. LTNS indeed. Every mon/wed I think about heading to a meet as I'm driving home, but I can't get too excited about my car much anymore since I'm going to be selling her in under a year. My g/f and I are getting serious and I can't have a fancy toy when I should be saving up for a house/planning on moving out with her, etc. Maybe I'll stop the pity parade and hang out again, but I dunno
