sorry about your car man, it would be total bull**** if the parents don't take the right action and pay for the damage. spoiled kids these days get away with pretty much anything they want...it's just not right! +1 on getting a car cover, i'm sure mine has saved my paint a few times from the kids next door kicking ***** in the street. good luck!

anyone who buys CF mirrors should assume they will be F'd with/Stolen within a few years.
Sorry to hear, hope all works out.

are they generally cool neighbors? would you (or your parents since it sounds like you still live with them) like them to stay cool neighbors?
i think you did the right thing by not barging in on their company and starting drama. try approaching him today like "hey <name>, i think one of your kids accidently broke my mirror yesterday. i asked him about it and he said he did..." odds are he'll offer to make it right. if not, you aren't gonna get **** out of him no matter how hard you press, call cops, go to court, etc...
something to consider, insurance would only pay an ammount equal to damages to a STOCK mirror.
if i knew *my* kid damaged someone else's property, i'd man up and pay the damages.

Sorry to hear about that Gio, thats why I hate kids. How is your insurance? If the ******** neighbor wont pay, could always go to your insurance and tell them what happened and the parents wont pay. Atleast your insurance will cover you, mine would but some insurance companies are dicks, and possibly go after the parents. Also, if your insurance company does just cover the amount of a stock mirror, should be enough to fix your APRs or even replace them. Subaru's OEM parts can be freakin' expensive at times.
So what would you do in this case??? On to sad news of my weekend Neighbor's kid broke my Driver Side APR CF Mirror!!!!!! Well the cool Euro blue glass popped off fell and shattered in a few places. So with that said I am somewhat pissed off, maybe I can have a glass shop make me some new mirrors as a just in case type thing. It was dark when I saw the carnage, I guess my mom knew about it and did not say anything to me about it until it was dark. Normally I would be in a Roid Rage type of mood/attitude but I kept my cool, and asked the kids playing around my car who done it. So my neighbor kid said he did it, I turned to him and whas I will talk to your dad about it later. I know they have company over and he was probably on his second 12 pack or Sierra Nevada so I will talk to my neighbor tomorrow.
Hopefully they will take responsibility for this, and I can get the glass piece replaced, I still need to see if the housing is fine or not. I am somewhat mad, but at the same time I know **** happens. He said he barely touched it, but why would something I locked down with and allen wrench move so far forward if it was only touched? Sp yeah, hopefully this will go somewhat smoothly when we discuss the damage. I know he is going to **** a brick when he finds out that the mirrors are $300+ shipping to replace. So yeah, rant is over for now!!!!!!!!!

tell their parents you caught them smoking a cigar and looking at porno magazines... that wouldn't accomplish anything but it would get them in trouble... i think
