So what would you do in this case??? On to sad news of my weekend Neighbor's kid broke my Driver Side APR CF Mirror!!!!!! Well the cool Euro blue glass popped off fell and shattered in a few places. So with that said I am somewhat pissed off, maybe I can have a glass shop make me some new mirrors as a just in case type thing. It was dark when I saw the carnage, I guess my mom knew about it and did not say anything to me about it until it was dark. Normally I would be in a Roid Rage type of mood/attitude but I kept my cool, and asked the kids playing around my car who done it. So my neighbor kid said he did it, I turned to him and whas I will talk to your dad about it later. I know they have company over and he was probably on his second 12 pack or Sierra Nevada so I will talk to my neighbor tomorrow.

Hopefully they will take responsibility for this, and I can get the glass piece replaced, I still need to see if the housing is fine or not. I am somewhat mad, but at the same time I know **** happens. He said he barely touched it, but why would something I locked down with and allen wrench move so far forward if it was only touched? Sp yeah, hopefully this will go somewhat smoothly when we discuss the damage. I know he is going to **** a brick when he finds out that the mirrors are $300+ shipping to replace. So yeah, rant is over for now!!!!!!!!!

I am not paying for it, hell no!!!! I will take them to court or call the Sheriff's Department and file a complaint against them. There are 5 witnesses and the kid himself came forward and said he did it.

and i mean if the kid hit it from just being a kid... thats no way parents fault (they werent negligent)

Hopefully you have better luck than i did. A kid leaned on my car and put all his weight on it and dented my car. I asked the parents to pay for it and they said my kid didnt do it. The kid in question admitted he did it and the parents still didn't want to take care of it. They told me to call the cops and well the cops basically told us if the parents wanted to be honest and pay that was up to them if they didn't pay they would write up a report and i could take them to small claims court. Needless to say the parents didn't pay or even say sorry for the dents in my car. oh and the mother then tells me i shouldn't have bought a car that is so easy to dent. I was shocked and said maybe you should raise your child with manners and respect for other peoples belongings.

 

Thanks guys for your support and feedback. I am still mad as hell about the incident. If all goes bad then oh well I got a good deal on them. Only that really pisses me off about the whole thing is I barely put them on like last Monday when I got them from the UPS truck

Keep in mind it is only the glass part that is broken, yes the assembly was pushed forward a good bit. Hopefully it did not break the CF Cup that holds on the and protects the glass I am guessing I can have some new pieces of glass cut for me. I once worked at a glass place and I am sure I can buy a sheet of glass and have them cut me out some blanks to replace the glass section. In case it happens again or even just keep them around and sell them to those that have broken the glass pieces as well

Anyways thanks again for all the support, I hope I do not get into a pissing match with my neighbors and that they do the right thing :P
