BAD IDEA. Do not do this!
The reason the fronts would turn is that the center diff is heating the viscous fluid and locking. BAD BAD BAD.

For a 5MT, I am 100% sure that towing with only two wheels on the ground for more than a few blocks will ruin the center diff. It will heat up, probably smoke, and might catch stuff on fire if done long enough.

Q: What would happen if it was towed by a bobsled with only two wheels on the groud?
A: Center diff would burn.
Q: What would happen if it was towed by a submarine but only the rear wheels could spin?
A: The center diff would burn.
Q: What would happen if it was towed by the starship Enterprise in a tractor beam that spun the front wheels at 20000 MPH and the rear wheels at 300000 MPH?
A: The center diff would burn.
Q: What would happen if I read the manual and called a flatbed to tow my car, or if I had a 5MT I towed it in neutral with 4 wheels on the ground?
A: The car would be fine.

the best way to tow a subbie is with a flat bed unless ur car is very low then it would b a prb getting it up on the bed, or the other way is with the regular tow truck with a dolly on the back wheels, just make all 4 wheels off the ground, n as for towing the car with all 4 wheels on the ground it would work, only do that if u no what u r doing, other wise u would end up with a fry center differential.
