Not true for most modern fuel-injected vehicles. The the in-tank fuel pump maintains high pressure in the fuel supply line, which prevents vapor lock from occurring. Vapor lock was a problem with carbureted vehicles in hot weather because the fuel supply pressure was typically below 7 or 8 lbs, not enough to raise the point at which fuel would percolate in the lines and form vapor.
