How much revisited....
Things are coming up in life that are sucking right now and I may have to sell the wagon.
My question is this....for how much.
it's high mileage but it's taken care of.
106,000.
Has a BRAND new turbo, water pump, P.S. pump. new thermostat. timing belt. Etc.
New exedy clutch. ACT flywheel. all kartboy bushings. Steering rack bushings. spec C struts. pink wagon springs. Etc.
It's a nice car.
I'm thinking $13,500 as it sits now minus the stereo system.
$12,000 stock.
basically the plan is to sell my car. pay my wife's car down. sell her car. Take about $2-3,000 and put it down on a new car for her. Forester or an suv. Then i'd buy a beater. That would eliminate one of our car payments. Eliminate 2 cars with over 100,000 miles. I'd then save up for a year or so. Sell the beater. Put a $5000 or so down payment on probably a 2009 Forester Sport or STI for myself.
so.....part out or sell whole?

part it out, always the best bet. A few hours of labor is worth a few grand
You will appeal to many more buyers selling it stock as well
Was the turbo and all that stuff replaced under warranty?

I could pull all the parts in one day with the help of one or two people.
only parts I'd need are stock wagon struts. and a stock exhaust manifold.

yeah, thats the only part I left on my sti since I sold the stock springs. At least take off all the easy stuff, see if you can get a donner to swap with the struts
Ray the Spec C struts are on their last legs. The lack of response to the FS thread you had was not very encouraging. I'd leave 'em on. You can do what I did, trade the P&P for a stocker. Sell the V7s, Stereo, and what ever else is in there. You know I'll help you out. Sell back to the dealer you should be able to pull 11-12K.
