ordered a part via ebay.uk and i was told the item was shipped on 12/16.
i was told that it was shipped via USPS air mail.
how long does stuff typically take to ship from the UK to CA? can it get stuck in customs?
being that it was the holidays, i figured it'll take some time to get mailed out to me. is three weeks normal?
it's probably a 2'x2'x2' square box.

I have had things take between 2 to 6 weeks to get here from the UK or Sweden for some reason. The last thing was a package from my inlaws that took 3 weeks to get here - some puzzles and other stuff for my wife that she wanted her mom to send over.
Things can definitely get stuck in customs, plus the holidays add extra shipping traffic, etc. You have tracking info.... Right?

I miss the RS too. I keep thinking, if I would have never sold it and just put the money into it that I planned in the beginning, I would basically have my dream car right now (and a whole lot of $$ to spend since I would not have bought the R32, V8 240Z, Mini, '95 Impreza coupe again, another Justy, '09 Honda Fit, Mr2 Spyder and I think that's it. At least I am keeping the DMV in business). I think I have "car ADD" or something.

My sister in England put a package in the post to me on December 1st and it arrived here in Oakland on December 24th. She sent it airmail. It took so long because of Christmas. Under normal circumstances, letters and packages sent airmail from England to California take about 7-10 days.
I mailed packages from the US to England on December 15th and they have not arrived yet.

got a tracking number:
stuck in norway since 12/16....wtf
"Your item was accepted in NORWAY on December 16, 2009 at 8:27 AM. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later"
is it normal for things to get shipped from england, then to norway, then to the states? the seller paid extra bucks on his own to get it to me with 4 day shipping.
