What's your 2010 New Year resolution?
With the new year coming up in just 4 days I figured that you guys/gals have your 2010 resolution thought out and planned out? Anyone doing anything that's life changing?
I'd just like to wish any of our smokers the best of luck with quitting. Smoking is a really tough thing to kick and I have a lot of respect for those that do quit after smoking for quite some time, so to those attempting, I wish you the best of luck and YOU CAN DO IT. You may suffer for a week or so, but after that's done you're home free and you wont have to smoke those cancer sticks anymore! Think about how much healthier you'll be? Think about how much money you'll save!!! I don't smoke but have helped a lot of people quit, and although you may not think that your support will help someone in need, but your help will actually do a lot to motivate someone to keep going and to quit once and for all. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Same goes to those who have other addictions or problems that can affect your life/health. It just takes a bit of suffering in the beginning and then you're set!
I'm going to start riding my bike and going to the gym 5 days a week! This is going to be quite a feat since my back has gotten as bad as it currently is, but I'm going to fight it and go against the odds. I want to strengthen my back and be able to do the things I used to be able to do without debilitating pain.
What are you guys planning for the new year? Whatever it may be, I wish you the best of luck and always remember that you'll have people here to support you through your journey. When you hit a wall, post here and we'll give you support and motivation to go on!
Good luck everyone, reach for the stars and you will touch them!

I remember when I stopped drinking energy drinks, as well as ALL caffeinated drinks all together (no soda or anything) and I lost a good 10lbs of fat which was great, and I felt better all around. I just stopped one day out of the blue and haven't craved any at all, and the best part is that Im saving a ton of money considering that each energy drink is at least $3 a day, and thats if I only drink one... That adds up big time, and for some drink? Screw that, if I really need caffeine I'll take a caffeine pill which is MUCH better for you.

Get to my goal weight of 165 (I'm at about 178, dropped 20 since August). Straighten out my career for good. "Get money, get paid." Need to put money away for a rainy day. Then, I don't know, yell at my mom less. The weight loss and the "get my sh*t together" thing are the biggest challenges. I just hope I come through with them. They've haunted me for years.

I have a lot of goals for 2010.
First and foremost, save money (which unfortunately doesn't work with my other goals lol).
Lose the beer gut I've acquired over the school year, this will mostly be done by cutting down on my gargantuan coffee intake and meal size.
Finally, appreciate what I have a lot more, which I have been doing a lot lately.

lose 15lbs. - i'm about 10lbs. off my low since college, but 20lbs. lighter than when i left college. i know the 10 is attainable so i'll shoot for more.
save/putaway half my take-home-pay - have a wedding to pay for this year. no more $10 salads everyday for lunch.
be nicer to my mom - i called her on the drive back from socal after christmas and my gf was on speakerphone... she said it's bogus i treat my dad/stepmom so much better than my mom. i kind of agree.
run a full autocross season - waiting for 245/40/17 v710s to be back in stock at tire rack and ordering up some kidney killing rates. w00t.
700+ GMAT Score - february is much too soon.

resolution for me is to get finances in order. setup a larger payment plan for credit cards and get those done with, and save up some money for a europe trip and other fun stuff.
also to lean up a bit.. get down to 180lbs and get my fat % from like 14% to below 10.
