Bought an intercooler off someone on Nasioc on Tuesday. He said that it was packed and ready to ship out. Bought Injectors and Turbo the same day from other people as well and got shipping confirmation numbers.

The last two messages I have from the Intercooler guy is "I thought my mom mailed it out on Tuesday" and "My mom hopefully sent it out earlier this week, ill try to get in touch I live in va, parents live in md and I sold the wrx".

How long should I wait before filing a paypal dispute? The guy has legit trader rating (19 positives, 0 negatives) I just dont understand how hard it is to call your mom and find out whats going on if thats really the case. Takes all of what 30secs?

 

I'd wait a little while. Depends on how patient you are, how good of communication he keeps, how good his excuses are...if it goes on, just ask him for a refund. He should comply, or his perfect trader rating will take a big hit. The succeeding step would be a PayPal dispute.

 

Maybe she is mad at him because he didn't buy a caravan for his ma, now she is ignoring his phone calls and screwing him (and you indirectly) over.

 

I'll give it until Friday since it is coming from the east coast and who knows when it was shipped. Its unlikely it would of arrived by now anyways unless he shipped its express. Also, he might not even have a confirmation number if he shipped USPS and didn't add it that service.

 

You know, I have been in your shoes. I have also been in his shoes...well, except for the "my mom does everything for me" bit. Give it until the end of the week. The bottom line is you are dealing with a private party, and not a business. People have lives, and despite our best efforts, we do not always get things shipped out as quick as we would like.

But at the same time, if you take someone's money, you should do your best to get it out within a week unless other arrangements have been made. But if the guy is spending the time to keep in contact with you, that is a good sign. Also keep in mind an intercooler is a pain in the *** to ship. Just keep the Paypal dispute timeframe in mind.

Yea I'll wait till Tuesday. Thats a full week to get me a shipment number. I wouldnt care if the intercooler arrived in 2 weeks as long as I get a shipment number. Hate feeling like maybe Im gonna get screwed.
