Hood Pins & CF Hood Install
Hey folks,
I am looking for some pics of hood pins, especially where the pin is installed in the engine bay. I am just wondering where it should be attached. Took the plunge and looking at a CF hood.
Also anybody that has installed a hood, what are the watch outs if any?
Cheers

Don't you have an aluminum hood? That should be just as light as a CF one, sometimes, I hear even a little lighter.
Installation of a CF hood is easy. Maybe have someone help you hold the hood while you bolt them on. Also... don't over torque your screws. My hood pins went where the rubber stoppers/bushings thing were. Hope that helps.

Did you put any of the rubber strips from the original hood on the underneath of the CF hood? Are they necessary? Cheers thanks for the response Dark

I didn't. The person before me reused part of the rubber stopper on the hood pins though. I am currently in class right now. I'd be more and happy to post a pic later.
