Depends which kind. If you're talking big cruise liners you're better off just going to a casino city for a week, however Windjammer barefoot cruises ROCK. I've done 4 windjammer cruisers and they are GREAT vacations, if you can swing the dough as they are a tad pricey though. The most memorable was the Flying Cloud and the British Virgin Islands, which it looks like the Legacy took over the route. It is really neat stopping at an island where your boat with less than 100 people are the only people on the whole island. Diving in some of the most pristine waters you've ever seen, and when it comes time to go to the next place it's sheets to the wind and there's nothing like being on a 200'+ vessel leaning in and taching.
I still vote for Thailand though, for the same price as going on a cruise you can get to Thailand and rent your own boat with pilot included for less and go wherever you want.

I would say cruise as well (being that I've went on several) but since you have ruled those out, I would pick somewhere like New Zealand or Australia. Right now, since they are in the southern hemisphere, it's summer there. Get away from all this coldness in the states.

my wedding is in june of next year. I wanted new zealand....snowboarding..but that got VETO'd. My tobe wants warmth. Warm waters. etc. haaa.
