Honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii...what to do
We are going to Kauai on our honeymoon July 9th-17th, staying at the Lawai Beach Resort and are going to have a rental car for the week. Anyone have any good ideas of what we can do?? We are young 22 yr olds that love action-packed stuff. So we'd be up for pretty much anything. Not sure how much money we're gonna have to blow on it but any recommendations are appreciated. I have heard that we need to go to the Kilauea Volcano, but is that on this island?? Lastly, how long is the drive around the whole island???
Thanks in advance,
Cody

I'm on Kauai!
Well, you can stop by my art gallery in Kapaa if you get the chance. I give discounts for Honeymooners!! ha ha.
Well, Kauai is for those who love the outdoors. There are several scenic locations. First off, Kilauea volcano is on the Big Island, not on Kauai...our Kilauea is more of a lighthouse, ha ha.
Helicopter tours are big here as well as boat tours to see the beautiful Na Pali coast. The helicopter tours can show you the inner valleys of Kauai as well as go into the Waimea Canyon, known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific". I hear they're pretty breathtaking. I'd highly recommend a drive up Kokee on the westside. You can see Waimea Canyon pretty well at several points on the way up. At the top (all the way), you can see the Na Pali coast as well as Niihau.
If you go North on the island, you'll go through beautiful Hanalei where the beaches are absolutely beautiful. All the way at the end of the road North is Ke'e beach. You'll know you're there once you get there. The road literally just stops.
Kauai is in my opinion the most beautiful of the Hawaiian islands and is a great place for a Honeymoon. I'll congratulate you in advance.
