i went outside today to finally clean my car (havent done it since mt hammy) and i have like no idea how to even start to take off all the road tar i picked up from beating the hell out of the hill on the way down from the mt hammy meet

any ideas?

the pictures dont do it much justice this stuff is lay'd on THICK and splats all down the doors and what not...

nope gave it two wipes with soapY water and gave up...

this stuff is going to be a BIEATCH!

they sell tar remover stuff at auto zone I think, i remember my dad picking up some stuff for his work car. i can't think of the name.

try the clay bar like ScoobyBoy said. just detail your car and when you're done, use the clay bar on it before you chuck it out.

Either get bug and tar remover (Turtle wax) that has wax already in it, or go to your local hardware department and get toluene. Clay bar will take forever. Spray on or use a soft rag, let sit for a a minute or so, and wipe off. Its easy, and won't hurt your paint.
