GL bro! hopefully this shmuck comes clean and its just easy going
That's what I'm trying to tell them as well but they are trying to say they don't know this person with the car. But surely it has to be someone in the household that knows the owner of the car because they went back inside the house after the truck drives away. I think a police report is where this situation is headed..

Police report is #1. you should have filed it that night when the two cops showed up. FCK giving your neighbor and their friends the courtesy of settling this without involving the police or insh, as this is now a hit and run. they showed you plenty of courtesy by fleeing the scene driver and neighbor who like an *** ***** walked back in and didnt say a word to you.
The neighbor is lucky to not have woken up to 4 flats, filled locks or a damaged fender.

Thing is I wasn't aware cops showed up until reviewing the footage yesterday. I guess the other neighbor two doors down called the police but nobody was outside once they got there so the two cop cars left. I really wish I was aware of all this happening because we would have had a better chance of catching the driver.

yeah like everyone has said file the damn report. And let your neighbor know that there will be a insurance claim and police report filed. I'm sure someone will come forward if they know the cops will be involved.

Talked to the police late today and was told to come by the station tomorrow to make a report because I have evidence from the hit and run. Hopefully all goes well and we find the person responsible. If not I guess I'll be on the hunt for a shop that can repaint a fender for me.
