i read part through the first original post and its quite interesting.

i have a book on the history of that conflict which is quite intersteting.

i did a report on this back in highschool... and it was confusing to me then and its really sad what has happened to that region and its people.

peace all... peace and love.

Hello,

And to say that, is to condemn civilization because of its humanity.

Someday, hopefully, humans will show they are capable of civilization despite their human nature.

BTW, suby_dude, I live in a cul-de-sac of townhouses and have said hello to one or two of my 20+ neighbors... and have never had more than 3 words with them. Pretty pathetic!

How biblical of you ... that is exactly what I was implying, that we are an incapable race. That's actually what I believe: that we were created to not only rely on our creator, but one another. The quest for individuality and autonomy will be/has been humanity's downfall.

Suby Dude,

I know what you mean. I've read so many "authoritative" books and articles on the Middle East crisis that I'm an authority on confusion.

I did start from the perspective that Israel can do no wrong. And then I read some various admissions by old Hagana members of some of the dastardly stuff not only they did but wheeling and dealing that the Israeli government does and has done.

I dunno who to trust anymore. But I do know that American and now British and surely Israeli and many Arab sources are not to be trusted. I realize that everyone will always have a bias. But there's a thick line between bias and propaganda.
