I feel bad for you guys deciding on which colleges, etc. I have so many friends right now that graduated this year with no jobs and just a lot of debt. These guys came from top notch schools too.. UCB, UCSD, etc. My little brother is at UCI right now and I worry for him due to our economic troubles. I had a chance to go to UCI and chose SJSU because it was more economical for me and the education is almost the same except you don't get the whole 'college experience.' COMMUTER SCHOOL FTMW! Not
damnn i could do senior year all over again i would be a freakin slacker and get bad grades.
when i was in senior year i had it all together:
4.0 gpa highschool
4.2gpa w/ my college classes that i took along side highschool etc calc, history
secatary of keyclub
was a full time active member of the engineering club, rotary club, video game club, spanish club
won several scholarships,
before i left i had a internship with B.A.R.T in the traction power department, a internship at crongress mike tompson's office,
had 250+hrs of community service
helped create my school's basket ball team, I went to a small school called New Tech High and we didnt have any sports
and in leadership as tech liaison for 2 years
and freakin had 24 college units under my belt
well I applied for schools i asked for UCD, UCB, UCI, UCR, UCL and becasue my cousin went to Johnson and Wales university in the east coast i didnt have to pay to send my stuff to them.
we go my results and had 5 letters of disferral and got into johnson and wales, my friend on the other hand, 3.2gpa nothing much under his belt he was aiming for the community college. this guy gets into alll my schools but UCB but got into everything i was like wow.
But yeah go to school and do good, when you do good you'll get recognized soon enough.

You young people driving wrx's and STi's, not even in college. You need a role model!
Advise: Study hard, don't party (too hard), get good grades, graduate top of your class. Then you have your kush job, because you studied your *** off. This is when you party. Don't mess up your college life just cause you think it is about having fun. Fun is when you have enough money to support yourself after college. Not "Oh I had so much fun in college, and now I have no job".

I had mostly honor classes but never put any effort and paid for it in college (literally). I was just not ready to commit myself to schooling until maybe a year ago. I'm in my 4th year of college now and have 2 more years to go.
Learn from my mistakes and do well in HS because it really does get you ready. At my company they just hired 2 more positions that could've been mine if I had graduated on time and would've made 3x what I'm making right now. Instead, I'm working, going to school, and paying the high tuition costs at State.
I may sound bitter but I'm not. Life is all about experiences.

yeah, I did the same thing in my early years, but turned it around when someone else older than me told me what I just posted. So I feel compelled to pass it along. Hopefully it will get through to someone.
What college did you go to? I was in Revelle for a year, and I hated UCSD so much I left

He's changed quiet a bit the whole year he's been there and is actually trying but he still can't quite stay out of trouble.
