The biggest news everyone seems to not be posting is the WRX base will now be a six speed! That's awesome. I'm really curious to see the difference between the 2.0 FB engine in the Wrx vs the 2.5L they are going to use in the STi. Either way I wish they looked nicer, I'm happy with my hatch.

I'd wait to see what issues arise with the new engines. We know the 2.0L FB is a solid engine and makes power with far and few failures reported off the community forums. I'd still be cautious being a first adopter. Just my two cents, I don't like being a beta tester for motors lol, especially Subaru motors.
I really doubt that it will get an STI's 6MT. They probably will just add a 6th gear to a current 5MT which is way different from an STI one. Same kind of 6sp. tranny that comes with manual 2010+ Lagacies/Outbacks.
All I can say is if it's correct HOLY ****!

Read it's based off the forester one with 1/2nd carbon synchros but diff 2nd/6th and cable linkage instead of rod like the forester. Anyway this is from some mag article posted on ft86club the worst site ever.
