I prefer it on the left as well...all my previous cars were on the left and it was super convenient, get out and gas is right there; on the right you have to get out, go around and blah

Yes, but you're also opening your door into the pumps and/or bollards that protect the pumps. It's what, maybe 10 extra feet to walk? Lazy *** 'mericans FTL :P

It's also on the right so that IF you have to fill the tank with a gas can on the freeway you are not standing in traffic when doing so.
