Subaru confirms performance concept, XV Crosstrek Hybrid for New York
The XV Crosstrek Hybrid will use a Subaru-developed hybrid system paired to the automaker's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. On the opposite end of the green scale, Subaru will also be showing off an "all-new performance concept car," which we can only hope is our first look at the next-generation WRX, or better still the WRX STI. Here's hoping.
"In addition to the new XV Crosstrek Hybrid, Subaru will also reveal an all-new performance concept car."
NEW YORK= Next wed.
Can't imagine it'd be another brz related concept as anything on that front should be a production model at this point.

Lol. No... I wish!
I read somewhere, that some guy had an inside source on the "high performance model" would be a Legacy GT sport, but I don't see how or why they would do that.
Expect a WRX STI concept that is close to production spec!

Interesting video not sure if it's really accurate. Everyone keeps pointing to the car having that same basic shape though so i think it's safe to assume it will some what resemble the picture in the first post.

They did exactly what I said they'd do. Make a mini-legacy.
It'll be just like all the previous one. Odd until you lower it and put some decent wheels on it.... etc. Then it'll be just fine.
The hatch is a photochop but if they do end up doing one... if... it'll be pretty close to that. Just not with such huge wheels and such little fender gap.

That's a concept car. The real thing will no doubt look more like the one from the article, but with styling cues from the prototype. Note the lack of a hood scoop...? Like the new XT. I like the tail, but not so crazy about the nose.
Homeslice, this video is a year old and completely inaccurate imo.
When we wake up tomorrow hopefully it will be revealed. If not I reckon Thursday.
