help a newb?

I just install my Helix catless downpipe for the first time. Everything went smooth, but I'm smelling smoking from the vents inside the car. I was really worried. Turns out, some rubber hose is hitting on the downpipe. I have no idea what it is and was wondering if I should remove it.

Here's a picture:

So, it wouldn't hurt to cut it?

I wouldnt cut it fully off, leave a nub on there so its not dumping water on your carpet instead. Mine hangs outside like 3/4 of an inch.

You can actually just move it towards that flat surface right next to it on the left. That's where mine is and nothing has happened to it.

Awesome, thanks for the help. Looks like it won't burn it anymore.
