Help!!! my engine is..

choking..or at least it feels like it is..it's running super rough almost like a mis fire is occurring and it smells richer than before, but there is no smoke from my tail pipe and when i was driving next to a wall i heard fluttering. My CEL is flashing as well..

my mods are:

catless DP/UP with axle back
walbro255
hallman MBC
kn drop in
snorkus delete
tuned @ eq

my car has 107k and i need to take it in for the 105k service so hopefully its not that

will that cause it to choke down the rpms and make it take off slower?

mounts wont make the engine sputter, could be on it's way out

wouldnt i have smoke coming from my tailpipe if my engine were blowing? not always probably but for a blown ring

my car has been feeling like its been struggling lately..

i dont know i dont have an AP or reader.

someone on NASIOC said flashing CEL means miss fire dont know if that holds water though..

No, it flashes to get your attention. The code could be anything.

Have you tried resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery and pushing the brake pedal a few times? It may temporarily fix the symptioms.

i was going to try that but i was going to try and replace my plugs tomorrow and see if that has anything to do with it. also im trying to get my car into GST for my 105k and see if they will do a compression test before hand

a blinking CEL means stop driving the car. keep if off (not running) until you read the code and can make a better decisions after speaking to a qualified tech.

if you have up to a 05 WRX it will blink when something is seriously wrong, otherwise it would just go on and stay constant.

if you have a 06+ model or 04+ STI it will have a CEL and blinking cruise light

be sure to not drive the car...read the code to see if it is even safe for it to drive but when they FLASH that means DON'T DRIVE IT...

*your 105k has nothing to do with the CEL unless you jumped timing or something random like that, which is highly unlikely but for sure could happen just depends on the circumstance of when the CEL came on.

I had the same problem a couple months back and it ended up being a misfire. Replacing the coil pack on the cylinder that resolved the issue.

i got some codes here thanks to chase bringing his AP by!

P0302 cyl #2 mis fire
P0245 wastegate solenoid low
