So I have a 300hp uncomfortable, gas-guzzling, money-pit subaru right now that i've invested way too many hours and dollars into. Why would I go through the trouble of selling it to get another vehicle of equal inconvenience?

sorry if that sounded harsh.
I'm looking for a clean, classy car, i.e bmw and/or a cheap and reliable DD i.e. a miata.

I actually just bought a first gen Miata for the daily commute to work. Loving it so far. Although it's probably less than half the power of the WRX, I think it's JUST as fun. Totally stock too. Cheaper with gas and maintenance. Though I wouldn't recommend it if you're moving to college. The trunk space is only big enough for a duffel bag and a few pairs of shoes.... Not so practical for a move to college, but good enough for the daily commute if you wanna save cost and still have fun.
That sounds like exactly what I need. Ideally, though, I want to have two cars. The miata as the cheap disposable DD, and something more roomy and classy for cruising around town and getting work done...whatever that means....

Yeah...I don't think having the Miata as the one and only car would do it for me. Not after having such a roomy sedan.... The Miata is so small, I can't even take nap breaks in it during work!
