Talking Help this Kid out BAIC.

So I was talking to a friend of mine earlier today. He was talking to me about purchasing an STI this year. His parents on the other hand, want him to get a BMW or a Benz. He's been dreaming of this car for sometime now and want it with a passion. So I'm asking all you baic'er to help him think of ways to convince his parents. His parents are going to put a down on the car and he'll be making the payments. Yea yea yea.. I know "it must be nice" lol He'll be checking this thread as it progresses.

So let me hear it. Why would you choose a Subaru WRX STI over a Benz or a BMW?(****, I'd take the M5 )

It's cheap to repair (not by much).

An M5 is the other option?Hell, I'd still still take an M3 over the STi. The M series is a lot sexier and the interiors alone make-up for SOA's lack of craftsmanship. We haven’t even covered dealership service either...

And yes, it must be nice. How old is this friend of yours? Milk must be awfully sour by now.

If he gets an STI he will attract JDM girls, if he gets a BMW or Mercedes he will attract Persian girls. Ask his parents who they would rather see him with?

1. AWD > RWD PERIOD.
2. Lower car + boxer engine = Lower center of gravity = Better handling = better chance of avoid an accident.
3. STi is faster than all benz and bimmers of it's price range.
4. Hearing the turbo spool on the STi.
5. Cheaper maintance for the STi compared to Benz and Bimmers.
6. Bimmers have electrical problems.
7. Prepare to get hated on if you drive a Benz or Bimmer at your age, not that you wont get it in a STi, just less

Okay, that's all i can think of right now, i'll add more as i think of more hope this helps

SOA's interiors beat Mitsu's any day. But Beamers are so nice especially in the non-wood trim options.

:rotfl: I'd take the M5 in a heartbeat. The kid's 21 now. I know. If it's a BMW or Benz it's going to be in the 30-40K range. Well that's what his parents told him.

Yea must be nice.
