11-99 seems to be having a lesser effect for getting off the hook than it used to...

it all depends on the situation. your not going to get off the hook if your DUI or doing 100+ through traffic and driving like an idiot. it comes in handy when your faced with speeding tickets for 10 to 30 over the limit.

The 11-99 foundation is a foundation set up to help families of CHP officers that lost their life on while on duty. A donation gets you a license plate frame and a ID card to carry around with you.

I'm looking at it... and it's $500 for the first year and $300 for each additional year. That's pretty expensive.

I don't know if it'll outweigh the costs by itself if I carry one and avoid so many tickets per year... especially if it's not 100% fool proof.

Hide your keys

I think you can get a DUI if you're in the vehicle and you have your keys on you. So you have the ability to opperate the car. If you hide the keys in the bushes it's a different stroy. The cop may still arrest you, but when it goes to court you can prove that you didn't have the ability to drive nor was it your intention to. The Cops do an inventory of you and the car...they won't find any keys and it will go in the report. Anyway just a thought, haven't actually heard of it happening before...
