Heavy CHP presence out there!

Careful out there folks...

I passed 8 different cruisers down the 101 on my way to work this morning. They are out in force. Radio announced they will have 2 speed teams on 80 in addition to their regular units over the weekend, especially Sunday, looking for people returning from Tahoe. Cracking down on seat belts, headlights, etc.

Now I don't feel like going out tonight anymore. How strict are the CHP when it comes to after market HIDs? Thanks for the heads up everyone.

Drink, but don't drive at all. There will be checkpoints everywhere. Pass out in your car if you need 2, but don't drive. It's not worth it. Or just sober up, go throw up or something.

I've heard of people getting DUI tickets for being in the driver's seat, even w/ the engine off... these were people who were trying to sleep it off or just talking to someone else in car while parked. I don't know what the law is regarding this exactly, but if you drink its best to not be in a car at all, esp not in the driver's seat.

Haha yeah, I've heard of people getting DUIs like that too. Ok, so maybe in your backseat lol or just keep your *** indoors until you're sober.

It's safe as long as your keys are out of the ignition.
