Has the poor economy hurt your income?

I was reviewing my earnings for last year and realized I made about $20K less than the year before...so I pulled out my tax records for the last few years...and I'm down $10K-20K a year each year for the last 3 years or so...No wonder I'm so poor!

Technically 2010 I was 10% lower than 2009, but that's because in '09 I switched jobs and they had to pay me out a couple months of time off at the end.

Otherwise I'm salaried, so my income is stable, and more importantly so is my job.

Wait til the end of this year. The double dip in the housing market is really going to show the hurt.

Nice.

The economic down turn has been murder on me. I'm in the middle of new training and a career change. Things are picking up a little bit in the design world for me but I'm burned out on the up and down. Really starting to miss that cush corporate job I had.

I'm making... well about 80k a year less than I made in 2005. haaaaa.
