Yes, they fit nicely actually and is my setup right now.
Also, these tires are the BEST! I absolutely LOVE them! The last tires that came close in performance were my last set of S02pp's. I can't believe the price I paid to get these! I paid $308 I think total with shipping and tax!!! I pretty much saved around $700 by getting these.

Uuummm "this old guy" was right. Stock 06 rim is 17x7 which is generally meant for max of 215 wide tire, may be 225 (which depends on a manufacturer as some run narrower/wider than other brands), but most likely you will get some cupping (tire bulging out past the rim cause its too wide). To run a 245 tire you really need a 17x8 rim plus rolled fenders to be on the safe side; to run it on a 17x7, if even possible, is stupid and unsafe in my opinion.

IMO he was correct about the 40 sidewall, that is one way to potentially avoid fender rubbing as the tire profile will be lower. But (anyone can correct me if I am wrong) that also will slightly mess with you speedometer since you are changing the overall rolling diameter from stock...

thanks guys i think i'm gonna have to buy in. can't argue with $71/tire!
anyone know how much better the star specs are? can't imagine they'd be worth 2x price on tirerack
according to the tire calculator, 245/45 is a bit tall and 245/40 would be preferred.

The star specs are noticeable better, but not for twice the price.
Jump on this deal!
Even though the 245x45 is not an ideal size, it will work fine. I would not run it on anything smaller than 17x8 though.

I have a hard on for Americas Tire Co. They always have the best service and best pricing in my experience. They charge 15 a tire for mounting and balancing other places i checked into charge 25 so thats a 40 dollar saving right there. When i got a nail in my tire a few months ago i went to a place call wheel works and they said it would cost 30 dollars and then i went over to americans tire and they fixed it for free and i was on my way in 15 minutes.
