from what i gather the kid wasnt the one who stole or changed the vin but there is physical proof the kid knew about the fake vin before trading. no one really knows the kids whole side of the story since he crawled into a hole after he found out he was being taken to court. i doubt there will be much more info on the case until its settled in court.

wow, just a screwed up situation. I feel bad for that guy who got scammed.
yeah who ever stole that car in the first place must of been a real professional to get all the info changed. Probably some mobsters with lots of connections...

That was a really ****ty situation. It's hard to look at the situation without being judgmental, but it seems that Kyle (STI original owner) could've handled the situation a lot better. Things we're on his side of the court early on legally, but his timidness and empathy towards the guy just pissed me off. Yes I understand the legal system can be very messy but there are places to start and there is an appropriate place for everything. Now, it seems like Kyle had an attorney so I'm just gonna assume that he gave him the best legal advice he could.
