$19k for an '06 TR, ******* you got over man!
I have Farmers too; cant decide I'm glad that my car will be fully covered in case I wreck it, or if I'm mad that ppl like you cause the insurance company to pass on higher costs to people like me.

Meh, just checked the pricing of the E46', and way too expensive for me, I'd much rather have a almost new EVO for less then a high milage 2002 midel M3.

Please don't blame me for making your rates higher for something that happened on accident.

People like me? I have a clean record with zero points and no accidents. I didn't wreck my car doing something stupid, I got into an "Accident", meaning that it wasn't my fault, I had no choice, the wreck was going to happen no matter what I did.

The reason I brought it up is when I bought my WRX in January and was going over insurance with Farmers, they had to adjust the premium within a month of me getting the quote and when I signed for the car due to a lot of claims on WRX's being wrecked. $$ from insurance companies doesn't come from a vacuum, if someone gets paid out 10x what they've put into "the pot" the funds have to come from somewhere and that's generally from people with similar vehicles.
That being said; good luck on your search and hopefully they wont raise your rates disproportionally because of the accident.

I went through the Evo or STi dilemma myself in early 2007 before I finally bought my used 04 STi, I was particularly impressed by the 9, however I bought the STi for two main reasons:
1. I could not afford a brand new Evo 9 SE (or a brand new STi) and I could not bring myself to buy a used Mitsubishi. I lurked on the Evo forums and talked to a lot of past Evo owners that switched to the STi (I know that there are many owners that switched to an Evo from the STi as well). I just did not trust the reliability of a used Evo - it was just a plain gut feeling.
2. The transmission. I want to beat my gears like an ugly red headed step child and the STi 6-SPD is up to that challenge. All the Evo guys will admit that the STi has the superior tranny (I'm not saying the Evo tranmission is garbage but the STi is much stronger).
I drove the Evo 8, 9 and a few different model STi's and I will admit that stock for stock - the Evo does handle significantly better and is slightly faster. In the end I am very happy with my used 04 STi and have no regrets at all - Im glad I didn't go to the dark side
The fun factor, the giant scoop and boxer rumble just cant be beat in my opinion. Its all personal preference and you gotta do what your gut tells you.

Yeah they usually have an Evo or a STi on the lot. Drove by the other day and they have a white hawkeye wrx, probably a TR. Didn't stop to see pricing/info though.
