Guess what came in the mail for me today? :D
After a long *** two month period, the wait is FINALLY over! I open my mail today and see an envelope from Farmers insurance, inside was a check for a few bucks short of $19,000!
They gave me way more then my car was worth. In a private sale I could have only received a maximum of MAYBE $15.5K because my 06TR has over 55k miles, more dings then a cheap prostitute and and overall pretty abused from really hard driving so you can imagine that I'm VERY excited!
Man, being without a car for almost 2 months has taken its toll on me! I need my car fix, I'm def having withdrawals... Now the fun part and I need your help!
My car choices are:
1. EVO IX SE with as low miles as possible.
2. 06-07 WRX STi, again with as low mileage as possible, and it'd have to be a KILLER deal, otherwise I'm not interested in the Subie, the EVO is a much more desirable for me, but the STi is a distant 2nd place.
Does anyone know of any EVO 8 or 9s that can be had for around 22-25k? I was wondering if you guys could help me look for one online and post your results here in this thread.
Like I said, first pick is an EVO in those specific years/models, or something comparable, and in second choice is a pig nose WRX STi. The new STi is out of the question. I'd like the new body style EVO X, but I just can't afford a brand new one at the moment.
So please, please, PLEASE help me find my new baby!
I'll love you forever! I'm going through car withdrawals and I need my fix!!!
Thanks!

honestly, daniel, i'd get a new car with an extended warranty (bought online, not at the dealership unless they give you a kickass deal)
evo X's are pretty affordable, and i am sure you can qualify for 0% apr and pay it off in 5 years.

3. Its like telling a drug addict to hold off on the drugs until later, its just not gonna happen.

i feel you on the no payments thing, but the biggest problem for me when i was in the same boat was... wtf am i going to do if my car breaks down? i'm sure you can tweak cars here and there, but the biggest concern for me when i had to get a replacement was reliability and a warranty. its all you though.
