Gruppe-S Downpipe heat shield

Bought a helix DP from gruppe-s and it came with a heatshield.... pretty cool but where the hell do you install it? Any ideas which bolt or whatever it connects to?

speaking of bolts... i cant seem to get the lower left bolt (one closets to drivers side) for my downnpipe on... it just wont go in, i cant get any threads on the turbo at all... anyone else have this problem? any ideas?

thanks!

Have you tried the bolt on the passenger side of the intercooler?

It probably bolts in like the Cusco Heat Shield.

you mean the one with the rubber washers? (Actually I dunno if they're washers...) but if that's the one it won't fit on the right way at all...

yeah.. bolt it on the tranny. but man, It doesn't cover up as well as I thought it would. You can still see the downpipe.

looks like it covers pretty well and definately not eye catchin like the cusco one. i like it. could you perhaps take a pic looking straight above it from the fender side, like youre a cop peering over. if its a hassle dont worry bout it.

you have to check out the gap there on the left side of the HS... you'll see the DP

The heat shield is meant to cover the turbo and keep away from any TMIC. It wasn't designed to "hide" downpipes as it's sole purpose. lol

hence the name "Gruppe-S Turbo Heat Shield"
