Okay, you can't replay the special areas over and over for credits and xp (like you can a-spec), so perhaps they felt the need to offer more of an award for winning each challenge. I suppose...

I'm starting level 0 with some beater peugeot hatch. I figure it'll be a bit more challenge trying to tune to win in that.

I never bought a car, just used the ones I was gifted. My fav so far is the '91 Civic SiR. I tried fixing up a Vitz but it still sucks even though the power/weight ratio is amazing. Accelleration is not what it would be for an 800kg car w/150hp.

How do you earn money like that? Sounds fun - I have just been learning the physics as I was having some trouble with the controller layout. Now it's pretty amazing and I am really enjoying the controller. Extremely precise and the physics are just amazing.

Turning off the race music was something I did before I ever tried playing.. Step 1!

I find this sort of activity really fun. My favorite cars in real life are underpowered, momentum cars and I am seriously enjoying this in the game. IMHO you get a lot better at car control when you don't have the power to fix an error.

He also said “We’re going to perform an update on the 27th that will include things like max power restrictions and weight restrictions. It’s like a living creature, dynamically growing as we speak.”

“Online updates are planned of course for leader boards and matchmaking – all planned in the process of evolution,” added Yamauchi. “The data centre was set up to handle 500,000 connections but the number of connections we received greatly exceeded that amount and there was a high chance of experiencing problems as a result.”

The patch is coming saturday
