Not really.
All the bolton cages don't really do much for the stiffness, they're just for rollover protection (and most people would argue that getting into an accident with a rollcage is actually MORE DANGEROUS IF YOU AREN'T WEARING A HELMET) - you go and see the real cages on competition cars they're all welding to the chassis at as many points as possible.
Bolton cages, like harness bars, were originally developed for the show car and street/show car crowd.

I had a NON caged bugeye save my life and my passenger's life in a 13+ rollover. Cages are dope, I want one... but the subaru was built really well from the factory.
