I was pulled over two weeks ago exiting ikea in EPA. The cop said my hoodscoop wasn't stock and I must have modified my engine.

SJ is about $1B short on their budget, and the police chief wants to add 500 more cops at a cost of $300M over the next 5 ears.

Where do you think some of that money is going to come from?

I've lived in SJ basically my entire life. Bought my 04 STi in July of 2003. Bone stock aside from a Borla Hush. Haven't been pulled over yet. <knocks on wood>

I was pulled over once in my 04 WRX Wagon on Tully and Silver Creek for modified exhaust. Officer was very nice and respectful. And he was smart. I had a GFB Stealth FX BOV installed. The officer said that is was illegal because the stock Bypass Valve (yes, he said Bypass) was recirculating and the aftermarket was atmospheric. Got sent to the ref for that. I passed with only two of the three stock cats. I didnt bother putting my stock up-pipe back.

Damn there were hella cops as I was getting onto 280south from Saratoga Ave. They were just waiting there and pulling over people as one of them had a stop sign in his hand and would point to the side. Glad that I drive a 240sx
Then when I got onto Capital Expway from 101 north, on the other side were cops in the fast lane of Cap expway stopping people.

Like wth is going on? What about giving people tickets who hella run that red light or use the carpool lane when single getting onto the freeway. I see hella people use that mf lane with no carpool ! Punks!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa?????? Cops actually doing police work rather than picking off the easy targets that require no effort but count as much just for them???

Besides - there are TONS of criminals out there without front plates, with tinted windows and ::gasp:: aftermarket parts!!!!

Yeah, everytime I see some jackass cutting people off like mad, spinning out on Holly st and facing oncoming traffic (seen this twice this year), forcing people into places whilst on the phone, eating a frigging yogurt with a spoon (so who's driving???) and other preposterous stuff I really wish there was some form of law enforcement agency that would police the roads and fine people for being bad, irrisponsible or incompetent drivers.
