OK, today around 4:30ishpm I got my first CEL while i was driving on 101, was raining quite a bit...Any ideas what it could be?..Im going to MPJ tomorrow, but just want to know any body experience a CEL driving in the rain...

Here are my mods, helix up-pipe, downpipe, Helix CEL fix, hks bov, Helix exhaust..any help would be great..

I had my first CEL in the rain when I was stock. If anything, it might be a hose that came loose and all this dirt just flew through. They replaced the whole unit under warranty, thank God.

Now that I have a dp, I'm not sure if they'll replace it. It would only void warranty if it was found to be the cause.

is your cel fix require splicing the wires on the o2 sensor. because if that gets wet it may go off. happened to me in the rain.

 

yup..i do recall MPJ sliced the CEL fix wiring, its covered in electrical tape......Also could adjusting the BOV have a major concern, i had a problem last week when Ron Price tightened my HKS SSQV all the way...



Also you guys are talking about dirt in the hoses, but what hoses should I check??

just wait till tommorow when you goto mpj. It could be a million different things and you will never know exactly till you get it scanned.

it might be from your up-pipe they usually throw cells for the egt. you can fix that by disconnecting the connector and puting a resistor in the socket.
