Got to give a speech for school, any ideas what i could say?

It doesn't matter what topic you choose, it's all about how engaging you are to your audience. Like someone posted earlier "there is no such thing as a boring topic, only boring speakers".
My buddy did a persuasive speech about why you should say Hi to the crossguards, and one on why you should pop your collar. They were excellent, engaging speeches.
My advice is to pick a topic that a lot of people actually are interested in.
Now back to writing my informative speech for my class ...

do a speach on how uncool it is to drive with one hand at the 12 o'clock position cause if you get in to an accident and the air bag goes off, you end up punching yourself in the face.
Talk about good driving techniques vs bad habits..
looking at the car in front of you instead of looking ahead passed the car.
You could also talk about how bad spam is on the internet and how this wonderful resource is being ruined by money greedy people.

why riding motorcycles are dangerous
from my speech class last semester i learned it's best to just go up and talk. don't bring up notes to read off of, cuz i know thats where i messed up. i would be constantly looking down tryin to see what i was going to say next and thats where the flow of your speech gets f'd up. just make good eye contact and speak naturally....and...like everything else practice practice practice!

If they have to bend their moral standards to agree, then you might be persuasive but you probably won't get the best grade. As an example, if you convince everyone to support euthanasia they will probably still have nagging doubts. However, if you convince them to use alternative energy and drive hybrid vehicles, they will feel like enlightened progressive reformers and your speech will enable them to feel good about agreeing with you. This is an easier way to get a good grade.

Meh - depends on your teacher. I used to come up with crazy speeches all the time. Long time ago in 10th grade, we read Huck Finn, and I had to make a speech about it. I wont on and on about how Jim was a bad influence on Huck (the point of the Huck Finn story is that Jim is a VERY good influence on Huck). It was ridiculous, but I backewd it up with quotes taken completely out of context.
