sorry to hear your broken down. hope the motor is ok. A Koyo Rad would be my first suggestion. Others like the mishumoto stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions. Those where the first two that came to mind. Are they better than stock? Wish it had happened AFTER I went on a parts run for work. Than I would be on the clock sitting here.

Everything i have read points to the Koyo as being better than stock with little to no problems. Many others are using the Koyo as well. You just have to trim the upper radiator hose on both ends so it doesnt rub.
here is a link to an install that will show you what all you will need to do when swapping over to a Koyo if you decide to go that route.

Install aftermarket radiator (Koyo racing rad), and flush the coolant - Subaru Impreza WRX STI Forums: IWSTI.com

After Koyo's $100 price drop 3 years ago, there is no reason to get anything else. The Mishimoto/GMS radiators have had issues with bad drain plugs, pin hole leaks, bad radiator caps, and bad fitment.

If you can get the aluminum one do it. If not... just get a koyo stock replacement. Your car isn't running anything crazy enough to NEED any extra fancy radiator benefits.

I picked up a koyo stock replacement for like $160 and put it in. Get new hoses and get a new thermostat while you're in there. might as well. (unless those are new).

This, but a word of caution with fitment since I've seen the need to shave the fan(s) a bit to make them fit properly.

That's what I did with mine a few months ago. It won't last forever, but it will probably last longer than most people keep the car.

I thought you just crack a couple eggs in the radiator and it fixes it.

LOL!

If you have a small leak that does work... TEMPORARILY. LOL. But I wouldn't do it in a modern car.

I'm guessing yours split right below the cap?
