+1 for vote on B & W speakers. They are the shiznit (800's are great). Also look at Dynaudio. I purchased my TV from Magnolia HI-Fi and got nothing but GREAT service! I got a great deal, and the salesmen knew what they were talking about. Their audio selection is OK (Martin/Logan kinda stuff) but they have great video.

Screw good guys, best buy and those places. They suck.
Magnolia Hi-Fi is pretty good.
What kind of home theater setup do you want though? I'm assuming you want individual components.
If you want a nice receiver, you should check out the Yamaha RX-Z1. It's pricey, but my friend has that receiver and wow, it's amazing. The louder you go, the cleaner it gets. Here are the specs on it... http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/RECEIVER/RX-Z1.htm.
I'm sure you already know this, but don't skimp on the cables. If you're gonna do it, might as well do it right. Also, get a cap while you're at it. It's worth it.
Don't buy bose. They're junk.
If you want good speakers, you can try the Cambridge Soundworks Newton series or you can try Kef Q or reference series.
Once it's all set up, you'll never want 2 leave your house. Good luck, Gino.
