Built the bumper beam and all intercooler piping yesterday nearly 12 hr project.

Bumper beam I bent up from some 1.75"x.120" DOM and welded it to some 1/4" plate. Intercooler has some 1/4" aluminum brackets welded on to it which then bolt to the plates for the bumper beam and the latch. Very stout and cool looking setup which Im very happy with how it turned out. Could probably stand on top of the intercooler its that strong. Clamps are all Hydraflow couplings which at retail cost over $1500 for the 6 connections, but I picked up the clamps and machined the weld ferrules myself to make the cost very cheap in comparison. But anyways thats the gist of it and on to the pics.

Is that front bar structural? Did you sleeve the inside of the splice? Intercooler and piping look ****!

Not really structural, and didn't splice it. Just there to protect intercooler so I didn't go "all" out. I did bevel the ends so I got full penetration. But at 1/8" wall thickness it should do the job just fine. I was gonna rebend a new one but I was a tad off one my bends calcs and just did a quick and easy fix.

Ohh ok. I guess it just looks like a splice there just left of the middle. Welds look top knotch as usual.

It's a weld there, it's not 1 piece

I know what you meant, I just read my first reply and I meant to say I didn't sleeve the splice.
