Going to drive 385+ miles this week by myself...
Well in my personal experience when I ran Mobil 1 5w-30, my old car burned the crap out of it. On my current car I'm running German Castrol 0w-30 and it's looking so good so far.
Different cars see different results. Simple as that.

Oh noes....Every variety of every viscosity of Mobil 1 for every application is crap people..you heard it here first people.
I have used Mobil 1 of varying viscosities for different applications for years, as have some of the i-club tuner shops (that run in excess of 600whp for a full race season). Between track days, daily driving duties and autox my car has hardly burnt a drop.
Please do me a favor and quote the blackstone results that cause you so much concern..I'd appreciate the heads-up. Seriously.

like i said, i'm not here to argue. i'm saying there is a large correlation between subarus with engine failures and 5w30 mobil1. i did not say all mobil1 weights are bad, i guess you missed that. if you want to run mobil1 5w30, go for it, but why risk it?
oils like rotella and amsoil far outshine it and have proven better track records.
please let me know which shops run mobil1 5w30 in their 600hp shop cars so i can be sure to avoid giving them my business.
and i bet you think the oem oil pick up tubes are perfectly fine too

you're more than welcome to PM me than keep getting off topic in this thread.

385 miles is nothing. I once drove 1500 miles with no sleep in between
You'll be fine dude. As for Mobil 1, I don't know why, there just happens to be a lot of failures with turbocharged Subarus running Mobil 1. German Castrol (Castrol EDGE Syntec 0W-30) is one of the best synthetics to run. Or you could get the overkill Motul motor oil...

There are also a lot of idiots with turbocharged Subies...
From MY OWN Blackstone Labs used oil analyses with Mobile 1 5w30, the oil would sheer down to a 20 weight within 3000 miles. This was multiple done for 2 tests before changing oil. Regular driving conditions, on a stage 2 STI with 650 cc injectors. My engine did not magically die because it sheered down to a 20 weight either. That just means that I had reduced protection at higher temps.
I am pretty sure there is more going on with the folks that seize bearings using Mobile 1, but I switched from their 5w30 because 1: it sheered to a 20 weight, and 2: Rotella 5w40 does not sheer after 4000 miles, and is cheap.
And Glen is right. Not ALL Mobile 1 is crap, as their stuff is used in many race cars in many types of motorsports.
Back to the topic. These folks have given good advice. 400 miles is nothing...about to do it now actually
Just make sure tires are solid with no nails etc, fluids are all good, and you have the equipment to change a tire (or have AAA) and you have extra fluids for the car any yourself.
