Any classes I have to take? Better yet, is there a FAQ website to go to for a complete noob to read up on?
All you need is a permit. If you want to get license it is pretty damn near impossible unless you`re a police officer judge, etc.... The only thing with a license is that you`re allowed to carry it concealed.

I would NOT buy this gun because ammo is scarce, EXPENSIVE AS HELL, and there's fear that it might not be manufactured in the future.

Actual owner's permit is pretty simple. The test take less than 10-min and you can take it at the gun shop.
I like Sportsman Supply in San Jose and Bay Area Gun Vault in Mountain View for shops

Carry Concealed Weapons (CCW) permit basically does not exist in the bay area. Next to impossible to obtain and the application fees by themselves are ~$300.

yes they do...

you have to be:

1. sean penn

2. a black man in oakland who previously shot gang bangers in/around your house when for you years you have been calling cops to report crime around your house and nothing gets done. then when you refuse to move and said criminals threaten to kill you...

3. politician.. er... read: lots and lots of political pull.
