8000k gives off a blue-ish color to it and with the color psm on my wrx, it should look really nice at night/evenings plus 4300 is stockish

4500 is my mark.

Closest to clear, white light that you can get commercial these days.

I had 6000k and 8000k before and they disappointed me.

I wouldn't go above 6000k, but that's just me. If you want 8000k, go for it. Just don't blind people.

Im getting 8000k hid kit from wheeldude
And im not sure if i want to get the APR cf rear diffuser because someone on craigslist is selling one cheaper than new, OR the headunit i want (kenwood dnx7120)...im leanin more towards the headunit, especially since ill get the factory refurb instead of new, almost half the price!!!

Whats everyone else getting for their suby?
I forget the cut off, but somewhere within 6000k range you start loosing light in favor of color. As far as I am aware, 8000k might look cooler, but the light projection range will be reduced. If you have never seen cars with those ridiculous purple 10,000k or 12,000k HID kits, they cannot see anything but road right in front of them...and you also need actual HID projectors to make proper use of HID bulbs that come in all kits because stock halogen projectors are not meant to reflect or deal with that type of light and bulb. So just be aware of those things when deciding on your purchase. Just my $.02. Good luck!

Best HID set up I've seen was with STI projectors, a home fab relay harness and Phillips 4500k bulbs and ballasts.

We could see every inch of the road in front of us and didn't blind anyone!

no need to buy products/services from me... just saying detailing your car before every winter is a good idea.
