get some shrink wrap (not the tube kind) and then you'll seal it so the tape doesn't get wet... my friends made a huge boat out of cardboard and duct tape. They shrink wrapped it and holy crap, that thing would NOT sink

oh my god. i drink so much waqter, i should use the waterbottles and do somethign dope like that over summer. I used to have a pyramid, and my friends would be dicks and knock it down lol.

You all should check out MAKE magazine, they do all kinds of crazy home-made projects that are really pretty cool. Robots, cat pedometer, aerial photographic kites, all sorts of stuff. I think everyone would really enjoy it. www.makezine.com
