Thunder Hill II: August 23, Willows, CA - this Saturday!!

Here's an example of what the course is going to be like. It's a little different than last year, but about the same length... LONG! .9 miles, 30 turns, 2:00+ lap (at least for me ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9GArlW8eCQ

Registration will be through email. Please send me an email with the following information: (per driver, multiple driver cars okay, just specify driver 1 & 2)

Full Name
Car make, model, and color
Car Number (will need to be displayed during the event)
Class (will need to be displayed during the event)

If you're unsure of what class you'll be in, email me a list of your modifications, or give me a call and we'll figure it out.

Tech should be NO problem for anyone... All items must be stock or better.

Battery tiedown
Seat/Belt
Rollover Protection (for open top cars... if you're that silly...)
All Lugnuts Present

Of course, all other items are subject to the discretion of the safety chairman.

Gates will open at 7:00AM
Drivers meeting at 8:00AM
On-Track by 8:30AM

The rest of the schedule will have to be figured out closer to race-day... it depends on how many people are coming.

Im still iffy.

How maintained is the course? I dont care about dust but what about ruts and chunks?

 

I will be there doing a test/fun race weekend with NASA in preparation for the upcoming SCCA race. Feel free to stop by and say hello.

 

Dust is light and easily washed off. No ruts or chunks to worry about except for one spot where there's a wash - but that's easily compensated for by slowing down prior then mashing the gas as you get to it to lift the front.

I might take a rental car out there and race it.

 

I'll be there tomarro. Leaving bout 430..speed limit or a lil over..haha..save gas..lol
