Thunderhill rallycross - June 28/29
Hey Folks,
If you're looking for an excuse to wash your car, this is a good one! On June 28 and 29 there'll be a rallycross doubleheader at Thunderhill raceway in Willows. For more information, check out http://www.sfrscca.org/RallyX/default.htm

Do you know if the course is going to be as rutty as the photos showed from last time?
I'd like to come out, but have a stock WRX and don't want to dismount a tire.
I'd prefer it if the course was wet or at least softer than how people were describing it last time.
Thanks,
David

This past time (2 weeks ago now), the course wasn't nearly as rutted and torn up as the rallycrosses we had last year. The organizers were grading the course ever hour or so, so it was very nice, even at the end of the day. As far as losing a tire bead, this can usually be avoided by upping your pressure to 40-45 psi.

You'll have to be a little more careful on the bald tires. When you're there, I'm sure some of the guys will tell you about me sliding way off one corner. Nothing too bad, but have battle scars now...
Alan decided the course wasn't difficult enough and went off the track!
