thanks, that is my whole point regardles of my views on the issues i want people to think and interact with such ideas and things. It can only be a positive thing some may walk away angry or pissed off (ignorance tends to do that to people) but in general it is a positive thing for everyone involved.

A bigot is a person who rejects the value of other people based on either assumptions or grossly applied stereotypes. Based on that, I would say Andre is one of the least bigoted people I have ever met, but he doesn't stand on assumptions, he looks past stereotypes, and he asks questions for himself. In this, you and the average "bible thumper" (your term not his... he never said it) are far more bigoted. You are calling him out for questioning people and their views, not for denying them. Andre doesn't pass judgements en masse like that. He asks pertinent questions, doesn't settle for bull**** answers, and draws his own conclusions, and then he is no longer required to care if anyone likes his opinion. He doesn't flame people for arguing against his opinions, but he will call BS on people who complain that he doesn't care if you like what he thinks.

 

Only if you listen to their ideas first. Of course, for that to happen, they have to actually express them first...

I haven't had time to read this whole thread. I'm in the UK right now, and there is a group of young people behind me who just so happen to be having an intelligent conversation about this war being extremely similar to vietnam. They mad some excellent parallelisms. History really does repeat itself.
